Cultural Dos and Taboos
Please Note:
Generally, the same types of cultural mores apply in Holy See as in Italy and much of Western Europe. Worth noting, however, is the following considerations: Do not wear shorts, tank tops or "flip-flop" types of sandals. You may not be allowed to enter the churches or any other religious area unless dressed properly and modestly.
